Americans Want Action On Greenhouse Gas Pollution

A Stanford University review of polls that measure Americans’ opinions about global warming reveals that big majorities want action and that the desire to cut greenhouse gas pollution from power plants is widespread across the USA, including in Nebraska.

The USAToday coverage includes revealing graphics like the map that accompanies this post.  Note two things. Nebraska registers an 82% level of support for action, and the national range of opinion is 60% to 90% in favor of action.

Stanford’s page for the report is here. They ask, “Does the American Public Support Legislation to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions?”  And their answer is a loud Yes!
